I received my confirmation letter from UCAS the other day to say they have received my application, all I can do now is wait..
The university's/courses I have applied for are
University of Lincoln: Games Computing
University of Lincoln: Computing
Sheffield Hallam: Software Development (Games) - Offer - not for this course, however
Northumbira University: Computer Games Software Engineering - Offer
Nottingham Trent University: Computer Science (Games Technology) - Offer
I have received 3 offers so far.
What universitys have you applied for? Had any offers/Rejections yet?
i was originally on the games course that the guy that started this thread has applied too, but after a year i was so sick of all the programming and lack of gaming stuff i changed to a course that covers the 3d modelling and animation but also tv, and film.
the games course is ok but you have to do some serious crazy amounts of programming but if thats what your into thats cool

Woah, better cancel my app and change my application entry's then, sport is the NUMBER ONE priority!
...
It's true, we have our own language here, for local people.

It's not rare. More than 30 million first language speakers, making it the biggest African language in Africa and way bigger than most European languages; plus it's used as a lingua franca throughout West Africa by millions more. So there!
ps You're just sad that I don't live near East Kilbride anymore.
No thanks
In the sunday times we got second in the country for sport, 75% of graduates for firsts, and has a high staff student ratio with garunteed student accomidation for the first year.

Ooooo...best uni ever. That's where I am right now, this very second. I used to go to Edinburgh and there's really no comparison, especially to do something Chinese-y or African-y. Lovely place, lovely people. Small classes too, which is brilliant. I do history and it has one of the best departments in the country - 2nd or 3rd in the various lists that got published in newspapers last year, and it keeps getting 6/6 for research. It has a totally different atmosphere to other universities because it's such a specialist institution: people here are incredibly enthusiastic about what they do. You can also study things at SOAS that you can't do anywhere else - I'm learning Hausa (a Nigerian language) as my floater, for example, but there are a squillion other weird choices on offer. Oh, and last year there were students from 108 different countries. It's great. I never want to leave. Ever.
