I realise that some people on this forum (including myself) are planning to go to university next year, and I figured it'd be nice to see who was going and how far they have got with their UCAS application.

I received my confirmation letter from UCAS the other day to say they have received my application, all I can do now is wait..

The university's/courses I have applied for are

University of Lincoln: Games Computing
University of Lincoln: Computing
Sheffield Hallam: Software Development (Games) - Offer - not for this course, however
Northumbira University: Computer Games Software Engineering - Offer
Nottingham Trent University: Computer Science (Games Technology) - Offer

I have received 3 offers so far.

What universitys have you applied for? Had any offers/Rejections yet?

Why would he take a dree he's not interested in just because it's value for money?

All he's saying is that fees should be based on each course rather than how much your parents earn.

You should have taken a degree that was more value for money.

Does that mean after you graduate you'll be a *qualified* ponderer for life? Great.

Do you know what blank, i never thought of it that way. I do 6 hours a week and i have to pay £1,150. Still trying to work out what i get for that money. All my work is based around reading and they have told us that our degree is based on how much work we do ourselves. It would be so cheaper for me to just stay at home and do the work myself, but then after 3 years i don't get a certificate to say i have worked for it.

Tuition fees are stupid anyway - I started my degree in philosophy last month, and I have five hours (count 'em....it won't take you long) of contact time a week with my tutors. How much am I paying in tuition fees?

£1,150 a year.

Now, there are some people who live down my corridor, doing subjects like biochemistry and computer science and stuff. These people have over five hours a day. They start at 9.15 most days, and dont' have any days free - I have three free days, not counting the weekend. And these people are paying the same in tuition fees as I am, because what you pay for your fees is based on how much your parents earn, not how much tuition you actually get.
