Anyone catch the Colts vs Patriots game to kick off the start of the 85th NFL season? Was a great way to start the season and i hope all the games are as entertaining. Was in a strange situation where i couldn't care who actually won this as i find New England to be horribly boring and Ty Law to be very annoying (he takes arrogance to a whole new level, he makes Jose Mourinho look like the most modest man in the world) and Indianapolis aren't much better with Peyton 'Most over-hyped player ever' Manning leading the charge.

Was good to hear the greatest commentating duo in all of sports Al Michaels and the legend John Madden back once again, no one can beat them.

But anyway the game, few interceptions thrown by Manning showing just how average he is and proving once more New England is not his favourite place (Vick and McNabb are far better) and Ty Law spending most of the game on the bench and when he did come on he got schooled by Marvin Harrison (and why Manning wasn't throwing to him more often i've no idea, he's your best reciever you muppet, use him) Great ending as well with McGuinness sacking him and leaving VanDerJagt with a hard field goal which he missed when he should have only had about a 35 yard attempt to knock threw the sticks.

Bring on the rest of the season

The tables turned! Brien missed a winning field goal for the Jets (guess what, they were in fieldgoal range, but instead of getting closer they just ran for 0 yards - ring any bells?) It's 17-17 and this game is GREAT. Absolutely class. Overtime - here we come, Jets start with the ball, but that's 3 overtime games away in a row, I don't think they can do it. I said he'd miss as well.

Jets Steelers has been good so far, better than I expected. Santana Moss had a Punt return for a touchdown and it's 10 - 10 at the half. Hopefull it will get even better in the 2nd half, and the Jets will end up winning. They won't, but I can always dream.

They still haven't read out any of my emails, though. I'll kepp trying, I've got another 5 hours.

Did your 49ers move by themselves, Munn? Or did you move them?

Yeah, if you win your first two challenges you get a third. New rule implemented as of this season.

Also, I played the 49ers once (Now the Las Vegas Knights, because they finished the season 0-16), and they got 3 challenges.

I know this because in the first halfd they challenged me twice, and I remember goign "good, now they can't challenge me"

If you challenge two plays and get them right, do you get another challenge?
Just wondering because it annoyed me.

I still routed 58-14 and then 49-3 later in the season.

I won't argue with that.
They always manage to force turnovers too.

Also, the game is glitched and doesn't know what are fumbles and what aren't.
If you are about to throw teh ball, and are tackled, often it's a fumble.

As we know, if the QB's arm is moving forward when he's tackles, it's treated as an incomplete pass, but Madden doesn't know this.

the thing i hate most about Madden is the 4th quarter burst where the computer suddenly starts chucking passes around like Marino and Elway combined and running the ball like Sanders and Faulk combined.

Only thing you can do to stop it is to get possession of the ball at beginning of quarter and just run the clock down

I'm playing on All-Pro mode.
I have the best team overall in the NFL by far - Defence is 97, Offense 98

It's cost me my draft picks, but by the time the Offseason coems around, I have no salary cap left.

I kick loads of onside kicks too - I recover most of them, and when I don't, it means they only have 40 yards to go for a TD, rather than 70-80

I know, it's really difficult. I'm 4-2 so far, but I've been neither all that impressive through the air or on the ground, and I was embarrassed 24-3 in Baltimore. Nearly shutout. :-(

Beat the Chargers 45-28 though, which made up for it. 45 points on All-Madden? They've got a terrible defense.

And yeah, even with the J-maul Lewis, I'm only averaging about 120 yards a game (I run with my amazing rookie fullback as well), with about 80-90 going for Lewis. Which really doesn't compete with Tomlinson, etc. Ah well.

In fact playing on All Madden it's impossible to get the to rated anything, let alone win consecutive games. My Montreal Bills are doing a good job though (although I have about 200k cap room so next season my team = changed)
