Was good to hear the greatest commentating duo in all of sports Al Michaels and the legend John Madden back once again, no one can beat them.
But anyway the game, few interceptions thrown by Manning showing just how average he is and proving once more New England is not his favourite place (Vick and McNabb are far better) and Ty Law spending most of the game on the bench and when he did come on he got schooled by Marvin Harrison (and why Manning wasn't throwing to him more often i've no idea, he's your best reciever you muppet, use him) Great ending as well with McGuinness sacking him and leaving VanDerJagt with a hard field goal which he missed when he should have only had about a 35 yard attempt to knock threw the sticks.
Bring on the rest of the season

They only showed Colts - Broncos whilst I was home on Monday, and I missed teh second match replayed (driving lesson), and they didn't repeat it at 6pm as they usually do.
As long as they show me Eagles Vikings and Patriots - Colts.
I honestly think the colts have improved enough over the season to beat the Patriots, and possibly, the Steelers.

I used to have to whole package.
Then, my brother refused to hoover (or rather, vacuum clean) his room.
So my dad disconnected it.
Once I get a job though, I'll go halves with him, as long as he pays for a box in my room.

Colts Eagles, come on.
High score-fest bonanza, surely.
I won my second consecutive Superbowl on Madden last night, finishing 19-0 witht he top rushing and passing offence, top rushing and passing defence, most avg points per game and Vick getting MVP for the second year in a row.
Then I had to re-hire my OC as he was out of contract, and when he signed, he emailed me sayhing
"Good decision hiring me, I'll turn things around this season"
Erm, no thanks.
I beat the Colts with the best 90 second drive in the SUperbowl ever, also.
Losing 28-26 (I failed a 2-pt conv to draw the score even).
I intercepted the ball in my own end-zone.
Tackled.
Touchback.
Start the drive at the 20, ran up to their 20 on 4th down with about 13 seconds left, no timeouts (had to use them to stop the Colts running down the clock).
I get Akers and the rest of teh FG unit out fast (Akers = god) and the gay-assed view appears, with the heartbeat through the controller. I start the kick with about 4 seconds left, quickly get the power up to 100, and then, I push the button too late for accuracy and get 0.
I watch as the ball flies through the air to the right, on course to narrowly miss the sticks, but, wait, "swoosh" it begings to veer left, I watch it veer left really quickly, and think now it'll miss to the left.
It hits the bar and goes in.
Gunshot fired.
29-28 superbowl win for the Seahawks.
Rarrr.
It would have been Eagles but with the loss of Owens and the fact they need to kick start themselves again (i'm another follower of the Madden school of you should always play your best players otherwise they'll be too cold for the big event)
I'm so glad that I have Sky Sports Extra. 24, the OC and SSE are worth the £40 monthly fee alone.
Anyway, Pittsburgh New England has already been played this season, and it was sort of good, because New England lost. But the only problem with that match is that one of the teams has to win, which is rubbish, when they should both lose. Jets - Eagles Superbowl come on (I'd actually prefer Eagles v Steelers+Patriots, where the Eagles whoop the collective ass of both teams [I'm talking shutout here] consecutively, without Terrell Owens and with me as the coach, but I doubt that will happen)
What I remember best is "Lions achieved over 500 yards in total offense and lost, while the Chargers achieved under 150 yards in total offense and won", in reference to the week the Chargers shut out the Browns, making only 6 passes the whole game (and completing 4) and the Lions losing by 1 to the Vikings after missing a last second extra point. The fools.
Anyway, yeah, quite a good read, but the guy thinks he's fantastically amazing, when he clearly isn't.
Also, I can't watch Sky.
So I'll miss everything except the Superbowl, which I get to watch on Channel 5 (hip hip hoorah), unless they show it on SS1/2/3.
ALso, I worked out today that my Prelims starts on February 7th, and the very first day is always English, and since i didn't take ENglish, I won't have school on Monday.
This means that I'll be able to watchj it downstairs, in the livign room wtih the wide screen TV (as opposed to lying in my bed watching it on the 17" screen).
So I pray to god it's a good Superbowl.
Anyway, the Falcons and the Steelers are the only 2 teams not to appear on Monday Night Football, so if that is the superbowl, then it'll be weird. I get the feeling that the Eagles will beat the Vikings, then lose to the Rams/Falcons in the Championship game, just because. I HOPE they beat the vikings, anyway.
Either way, I can't wait till this Saturday. No matter what happens I'll be watching Sky Sports from 9:30 onwards. Damn good playoffs this year, even if New England and Pittsburgh are in them.
Also, one of the NFL articles today is HEYOOGE.
And soem of it is totally unrelated to FOotball, but this made me smile:
Note: After last year's playoff humiliation at Indianapolis, the Broncos vowed to improve. They did! Denver lost by 31 points at Indianapolis last postseason, and this year lost by only 25 points. At the current rate of progress, the Broncos will be able to defeat the Colts at Indianapolis in the year 2010.
Poor poor Broncos.
