Anyone catch the Colts vs Patriots game to kick off the start of the 85th NFL season? Was a great way to start the season and i hope all the games are as entertaining. Was in a strange situation where i couldn't care who actually won this as i find New England to be horribly boring and Ty Law to be very annoying (he takes arrogance to a whole new level, he makes Jose Mourinho look like the most modest man in the world) and Indianapolis aren't much better with Peyton 'Most over-hyped player ever' Manning leading the charge.

Was good to hear the greatest commentating duo in all of sports Al Michaels and the legend John Madden back once again, no one can beat them.

But anyway the game, few interceptions thrown by Manning showing just how average he is and proving once more New England is not his favourite place (Vick and McNabb are far better) and Ty Law spending most of the game on the bench and when he did come on he got schooled by Marvin Harrison (and why Manning wasn't throwing to him more often i've no idea, he's your best reciever you muppet, use him) Great ending as well with McGuinness sacking him and leaving VanDerJagt with a hard field goal which he missed when he should have only had about a 35 yard attempt to knock threw the sticks.

Bring on the rest of the season

Read in one of the Sunday rags that Gabby Yorath will be fronting the NFL coverage on ITV. Ermmmm why? She's said herself she knows nothing about the game so why hire her to present it? How about getting someone in who actually knows about the game.

Bloody idiots. Thinking of taking a holiday back over to North America so i can have some decent proper coverage

I'd stay up and watch it too.
The difference is that my dad is a moany old fart, and I'd have to watch it in my room, on the small TV, lying sideways (I tell you, teh first time I watched American football I thought they played it standing on the side of a wall), but I explained my plight to my dad and he'll let me stay downstairs and watch it.

I'm a fricking genius anyway, I wouldn't fail - never have.

I hope Madden and Michaels will be commentating on it and Sky Sports either have the Fox coverage or have an option to listen to those two as they are the two best commentators in the business. Plus the Fanzone option sky are having doesn't interest me at all.

NFL > exams

You can retake exams anyway, but the superbowl is unique.

It's great - AJ will see the Superbowl, live and in full.

ITV on Sunday the 6th at 10.40, all you crazy non Sky Sports owning mofos like me.

And I don't think the game actually starts until 1.00, which means much build-up, which is usually great stuff.

I'll stay up and watch it all, seeing as I'm not doing anything on Monday. Well, actually, I don't do anything on ANY Monday, but so what.

YEY.

haha the Pro Bowl. It's genius. I'll miss it because I'll be in Paris, but I'm sure you'll love the whole no aggression/no will to win thing. It's a very odd thing to watch.

Yes, it makes me weep also.

On the bright side, however, it's only a week and a half until the next game, and a week until teh game after that.

After that it's a whole 6 months before we get any more.

Hoo-rah.

It's just annoying that there isn't any action this weekend. :' (
