It's Mr Pants = mmmm mediocracy
It's been, what, four years since they released a game worth playing?

I think you'll find if Metroid Prime was given enough marketing and time from Nintendo it could easily appeal to the Halo generation. It pretty much looks like Halo in parts.
And Geist reminds me of Perfect Dark a little. It is definitly an adult shooter.

Not really...
It might seem like it, but you'd be amazed by how many gamers have made their ultimate judgement based on their first go.
So many people who thought Pikmin looked weird and stupid were hooked after the first level.
People who thought that Perfect Dark would be the next Goldeneye changed their mind after trying it, because they didn't geti nto it first go.
Why did GTA 3 out do all the other "adult" titles, with possibly more violence and gore?
Because they played a game and realised that here was a whole world at their hands to do what the hell they wanted to do in.
Sure, the "adultness" of the violence meant that it was more appealing to live a life in Vice City than in Fable, but it was ultimately that first go that got them hooked.
What I'm saying is, in the current crop of Nintendo 'adult' titles, the gameplay is there but the presentation isn't.
Is the average gamer going to care about Metroid Prime or Geist?

At the risk of repeating myself:

Adult isn't half naked women over cars.
Adult is being alone in a world were brainpower and appreciation of genius takes precedent over stereotypes and big guns. And the ability to read more than 5 lines an hour.
