If he does indeed come to the Prem, I'll be so happy I might bless Colourless/Ashley by giving my approval to Adrian Mutu. Maybe.

I agree with all of the above
Arsenal are 95% certain of signing Maniche.
Ah, i love these percentage stories. Like Makelele saying arsenal are losing 40% of thier team with vieira gone!
I don't care how vital a role he played for Portugal in Euro 2004.
I still think anyone could do far better than to sign Maniche.
Especially a club like Arsenal.
You're not just replacing a midfielder here... It's Patrick Vieira; the driving force behind your midfield; your very own Roy Keane.
Who the heck was this Maniche, 12-months-ago!?
If I were Arséne Wenger [Thank the Lord I'm not!!], personally, I'd rather go for Germany's one out-standing outfield player - Michael Ballack. He hasn't simply made a big name for himself after only 6 months of impressive football - he's been doing it for years, now!
Maniche would be the 'easy option' for Wenger; the "panic-buy", if you like.
He reminds me a little of Chelsea and their £24m man Didier Drogba.
Who was he a year ago? Is it too much to judge him on one good season??
Liverpool did the same thing with El-Hadji Diouf, after the 2002 World Cup... Look what happened there, and learn from it! :I

The only dark cloud on my horizon is that Arsenal may turn him into a dirty cheat like the rest of the squad. The hope is that Viera won't be there to teach him the Way of the Dive, but I believe Pires and Henry are learned enough to pass what they have learned from their master on.
My dreams are dashed. Cruel world, oh how you mock me.

It's mean to get my hopes up and then dash them, Wenger-boy.
Its what Wenger did to rio! the shifty man in the trench coat was the players drug testers!

"Happen"? Heh.
*pictures Alex Ferugson emerging from a shadowy alley to slip a wad of cash to a man in a trenchcoat. "I want someone....removed." "No problem, boss. Who's the man?"*
