I'm seriously considering joining the police instead of going to uni - I think I've really had enough of being educated. I just want to DO something rather than being some crappy person who just writes stuff and doesnt actually make a difference. I think making a difference in life is the most important thing you can do and by upholding the law you're making a difference!
I don't know a great deal of what sort of thing I'd be undertaking by joining the force but I am sure it is better than etching out my existance in a lowly cubicle of a generic office block.
I want to get some information packs send so if you know any websites or places I can phone or write to to ask then can you help me out.

You work when you're told to.
Our system is great. 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off. 11 hour shifts.

Oh they are nothing to do with safety. They are there for the government to make money, no doubt about that. But if you don't break the law then you wont get fined. Simple.

Which area are you assigned to? Just asking so if I mention speed cameras you won't froth at the mouth because you're in Traffic.
Well, I can't speak for all police officers, only those I know, and they're good people.
