I'm seriously considering joining the police instead of going to uni - I think I've really had enough of being educated. I just want to DO something rather than being some crappy person who just writes stuff and doesnt actually make a difference. I think making a difference in life is the most important thing you can do and by upholding the law you're making a difference!

I don't know a great deal of what sort of thing I'd be undertaking by joining the force but I am sure it is better than etching out my existance in a lowly cubicle of a generic office block.

I want to get some information packs send so if you know any websites or places I can phone or write to to ask then can you help me out.

Thanks

Excellent! With John Thaw's character from The Sweeney as his wise-craking partner.

C'mon - Rash decisions are humourous.

Forensics is good work. You need intelligence and university training in techniques such as DNA amplification.

I'm not very good at science and I assume I'd need medical qualifications for that sort of thing. Police seems to suit me better because as well as the legwork which English Bloke is doing at the moment, there's also the thinky side of it like investigators and detectives which could appeal more to me (but I'll look into it more first before making a rash decision.

You know what we need - Robocop.

English_Bloke can put on some armour and talk like a cyborg. Crooks will tremble at the thought of him...

I have a step Uncle who was in the police.

Fecking loaded.

He did all teh forensics, earned loads.

Now he goes to foreign countries to teach them how to do forensics.

I wish I knew him better.

It's not as if I'm against the police, as I said earlier. I just think if he's clever, as he appears to be, a vocational stint as a PC probably isn't his best option.

All I know is that I want to write when I leave education.

It's a doubtful goal, but with power-off (my site) giving me a slight base to hone my skills, it could be more of a reality than I ever dreamed.

Oh, and my weekly cube-wurope article.

If only i could write reviews...

Depends what you mean by "help". No, you're right. I say we get rid of the police force.

He wouldn't get to "help" people "walk" down stairs if he was a paramedic.
