Yes. The early Church would have had plain walls and just been a time to be a time for fellowship and a time of praising the Lord together. The Catholic Church then started off with highly decorative walls and the priest would read from the Latin Bible - a language no-one could understand. This time the Protestant Church broke away from the Catholic one.

Was that why?

all religions have big temples and churchs etc. in which people go to worship so religion becomes the image of a big building with some bloke preaching all the time so this is what people start to worship which means that all religions worship false idols even christianity...

I was never brought up to be religious and so my only knowledge of religion is through RE lessons but there is somethin i've always wanted to no. Christians don't believe in worshiping false idols and yet the churchs all have big crosses in them. people all pray to these and worship the priests and their crosses and bibles but surely this is worshiping false idols as they are worshiping these images and objects instead of just believing in their hearts...

It's fascinating. No arguments. No cutting remarks. Just expressing views. Good job, all!

Anyway - it was a good post.
And highlights what most religions boiled down to - a set of morals and laws to make people happy and get along together. Back when the fear of God could make people behave better than the law.
