The nephews (who are both 10) love The Matrix and Reloaded so they'll no doubt want to watch it, much the missus' annoyance.

Your perspective does make a lot of sense, I'll agree. Neo is freaked by what the Oracle tells him, what Smith does to him (and did to him at the end of the first film) and by the fact he keeps having visons of Trinity being "killed" by an Agent. Yeah so I guess he'd want to take it out on Smith and when he starts to get overwhelmed, he flies off.
As he's flying off though I'm sure he's thinking "I'm glad that I fought Smith, as you do not truly know someone until you fight them".
:}
When Neo was holding Trinity in his arms and she was bleeding to death, some bloke behind me said "Oh, just bloody-well die will you!?" and I laughed out loud, getting a few glares from other people.

My mates think that this scene is so stupid that it wrecks the whole film, but really they dont understand the film and thats the only way they can criticise it without being made fun of.

*faints*
Long, boring, and very fake looking in parts. Still, the punch when the camera shows Neo punching through the rain is very impressive.
I watched it today and I did also enjoy more than revolutions just like Return Of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back but there were a few let downs sometimes at the start and a major one at the end.
Well first of all the whole Neo coma thing I was expecting that to be a little more hard to get out of but it wasn't that bad. But I would just like to ask thing at the club scene.
1-Why the hell were the guards running around on the ceiling couldent they just be normal or at least have an excuse to be doing what they were?
Also the whole "Give me the oracles eyes" thing was a really good climax followed by "I dont have time for this shiezer" and they just got Neo out of nowhere anyway.
The agent battle at the end was a ver y nice peice of action but had a Dragon Ball Z feel to it with the repetitive mega punches and big spheres off pretty water it would have also been nice to see all the agents on Neo but no.
Well thats it not a exelent film but great and all and all did not fail to impress I would say a 7/10.
