"Are you born gay or do you 'acquire' it?"

I heard two people talking about this the other night, and was wondering what you guys thought. Is being gay in your DNA, or is it 'acquired' through your life?

So yeh, enlighten me...

I've heard about evidence for both of your question's, i've heard something about a gay gene that can be identified and ive heard it said that you are more likely to be gay if you are brought up in a predominately female household.

Timmargh, using that logic, you are saying sin isn't really sin.

A homo-sexual has built-in feelings towards the same sex, they can fight these feelings, some do and become hetro-sexual while others remain homo-sexual.

Using this logic, no sin is really a sin. We all have sinful natures, we all want to disobey parents, God etc.
Using a very simple example, I would like to show this logic. Your mother says you are not allowed any more cookies from the cookie jar, you have a built in nature of hunger and always want more. You want another cookie, but know it is wrong. You take another cookie, you have disobeyed your parents so this is a sin, yes. But using your logic this is not a sin.

This shows how homo-sexuality is a sin.

Which;

A) isn't even a response to the statement.
B) Kind of suggests God, rather than any 'corrupting' power created it...

If they were born with it, as Forest Fan says, and we were created by God, as Forest Fan says, then isn't that saying God created them as Gay?

No he's not saying that. Why do you automatically assume that because people perceive someone as different that they would be "freakish gimps
