Or God for that matter. He made us in His image and the earliest Humans were from Asia, so they must have been yellow/brown/whatever skinned. Yet, every Bible printed, every religious image in the Western world shows him as a white man. Why is that? Do you think it could be some subtle form of manipulation for us Honkys? The whole region of Bethlehem, Jerusalem, etc., is in the Middle East area, and I don't see no white folk about. Could it be that the Bible my old school gave me and forced me to learn from was lying to me?

My personal favourite theory, that explains everything about the man called Jesus, is that he was a time-traveller. Think about it. Some mystical bloke, giving it all "that" with extra sass - I'd be pretty lairy if I'd just time-travelled. Healing the sick with modern and future medicine. And he's white. The first time-traveller (if the End of Days hasn't come like you're cheerily predicting) will probably be some white-bred American bloke, so he'll be well-versed in the Bible. It's a good theory, don't knock it. Expect to see the film. Soon. Starring Mark Wahlberg as Jesus. And William Shatner as God. Probably.

Thanks for that Archangel. I do try to tell people I don't know all the answers, but these questions still keep coming in!

Yes, I did. But also remember that he's young and exuberant about his Lord. I have encouraged him, not to "push," but to express his love for Jesus. Jesus compels us to tell others. I remember being young and exuberant once (not that I'm old). I was considered "pushy" when I was first saved and excited about telling people about Jesus.
An American preacher by the name of Dan Betzer, whose emails I receive called "Byline," recently talked about a woman who had fallen in the river at Niagra Falls. She was clinging to an icy ledge away from the falls barely conscious. 3 rescue personnel attached by lifelines dove into the frigid water and attached a backboard to her. A helicopter plucked her to safety. The rescue personnel were also pulled from the water. They risked their lives to save one they didn't know.
With all the ridicule that FF gets, he still posts; because he's no different than they. He's on a rescue mission. He's trying to get souls to Jesus. Jesus paid the ultimate price: His life, that we may have life. I would put my life on the line for you, Strafio, if I thought God would accept the sacrifice. Even the apostle Paul said, "Oh! that I were accursed from Christ for my brethren's sake!" He was willing to trade his salvation for the lake of fire if by some means it would save some of his Israelite brothers.
Yes, FF may be brash about it. But he's young. Skill comes with age. He's answered some things I didn't even know. Does he have all the answers? No. But he has a dad and mum and brothers that can help him get the answers. And sometimes other believers post, including myself.

Fair enough.

I've not seen you push anything on anyone so far, just post your point of veiw. Which is fine! :-)

But you DID commend FF's pushing with a "good work!"! ;-P

I do try not to push my faith on people. I say what I do when the Spirit gives me utterance. If you want to live your way, that's your perogative. I cannot and will not force my religion on you. And, no, Strafio, I don't believe my posting here is pushing it on anyone. This forum is open to all. hey have the choice to read it or ignore it.

Good for you that you gave up smoking, and good for you that your faith in Jesus helped you, because breaking habits like that can't be easy.
And while it's admirable that you're now respecting your own health and looking after your body, thinking that it's the best way for everyone to live is just plain narrow minded and arrogant.

So if you live your way, but accept that other people have theirs, which might be different to yours but that's fine while they're not hurting anyone, that's good.

If you start expect people to do exactly what you do... well you start to become a social pest and put them off. However, if you were just a nice person and didn't mention your religion without being asked, people would be more enamoured with your example and feel more inclined to be like you...

sort of! ;-)

Until I was saved, I smoked two and a half packs of cigarettes a day. In 16 waking hours, that would be one every 20 minutes. I haven't smoked in 8 years, praise God.
Could I? Yes. By my own free will. Your free will is what YOU want to do. I could smoke, drink, carouse with women. Anytrhing I want.

BUT...

My "want to" has changed. I want to serve Jesus. Do I fail at times? Yes. I'm still human. I make mistakes. BUT He forgives.

To serve Jesus, you have to want to.

I have free-will to do those things. I'm not going to, BUT I could, but like I say, I'm not going to.

They had freedom, BUT they knew making the wrong decision - sinning, would lead to the consequence of a fallen world.
