On the news tonight, they used the phrase "Cannabis, a drug tens of thousands of people choose to smoke each week". I think they are seriously underestimating how widespread its use is. I wager everyone on here knows somebody who smokes it, I certainly do. Could decriminalizing the drug work in this country? There are huge benefits for the government in the way that it would free up a lot of police time, which could be used for catching those dealing/possessing harder drugs.
Is there any point whatsoever in downgrading the drug as they have done?
Do you have any views on the drug, or the questions I have asked above?
> Yes to the three same questions posed below.
Heh. Nice to see you responding well to inconvenient facts...
"They're all wasters"
'Well I know people who smoke who are a lot more successful in life than you'
"Doesn't matter; they're wasters"
'O-kay...'
Tell you what IB, could you give us what your definition of waster is? Cos thus far this reads like a fairly poor trolling attempt on your part.
As to Bell's 'thoughts' on drugs...well, I seem to recall taking them all apart piece by piece on the Drugs thread I started way waaaaaay back. I'm gratified to see others doing exactly the same to him. It's almost like he's had the Daily Mail guide to EVIL DRUGS imprinted on the cavernous lump of jelly that passes muster as his brain.
Anyone who smokes weed socially is a waster, yet he spends his life collecting comics and watching Japanease porn cartoons. Oh the ironing..
> No, for once I'll agree with him. They are wasters.
I occasionaly smoke. Am I a waster?

Don't you need to reword that? People who drink above the recommended limit become far more emotional and likely to cause fights. In other words they cannot take any responsibility for themselves.

No, for once I'll agree with him. They are wasters.
> So if it was legalised by the government, you'd be ok with it then?
No. The issue is not legalisation or not. It's a simple fact that only sad people need drugs such as Cannabis which have proven health effects from only short term use.

Umm, we haven't had that right since we stopped living in caves, fighting off Tyrannosaurs and 'raptors to get lunch.
