On the news tonight, they used the phrase "Cannabis, a drug tens of thousands of people choose to smoke each week". I think they are seriously underestimating how widespread its use is. I wager everyone on here knows somebody who smokes it, I certainly do. Could decriminalizing the drug work in this country? There are huge benefits for the government in the way that it would free up a lot of police time, which could be used for catching those dealing/possessing harder drugs.
Is there any point whatsoever in downgrading the drug as they have done?
Do you have any views on the drug, or the questions I have asked above?

Okay, confession time. I admit it.
I am a speeder.
I've been speeding since I was in school, and I got my first taste of driving. All my mates were into it, and were like 'you should try it, it's great'. So the first time I got in my car, I tried it. And I was hooked. Pretty soon I was speeding every day, going faster and faster each time. Sometimes I thought I was going too fast, but I soon got used to it. My friends and family had alienated me by the time I realised I was addicted to speeding. I wasted all my money on petrol and lost my job because I couldn't keep my car on the road. Now I'm just a shell of a man with a speeding habit. I've wasted my life.
Lighten up, Bell. For the record, I never purposely speed (often it's an unconscious thing, but as I don't think you drive, you probably wouldn't understand) and I don't do drugs. I do take objection to being labelled a waster however, by a close-minded ignorant chap such as yourself, who as far as I can see, isn't really in a position to lecture.
And with that, this ludicrous laugh-a-thon is drawn to a close.
"Tw@t" is the slang for a womans vagiina.

No they are just sad tw@ts.
And, why is tw@ts on the swear filter yet crap isn't?

"Deemed bad"? Is an icon placed next to the topic "This has been deemed bad"? No. And for your information, I made a topic about how to obtain a crack for a pirate copy of a game, and was warned, but the topic was not removed. This forum is not a Nazi regime. Not all topics are deleted that are, as you put it, "Deemed bad" This topic is "bad" in your words. Perhaps the things discussed in it are less than kosher, but I would consider it a focal point for controversy.

Having our site linking directly to MP3s or other illegal material holds us liable. Talking about the existence of MP3s does not. Likewise, if someone posted a link to a website selling drugs/drug paraphenalia then it would be removed, but a discussion about drug culture and the rights and wrongs of drug taking is fair game. Do you really want the forums to be nannied that much?
I haven't seen anyone advocating the use of drugs here. I've seen people admit to taking them, but that doesn't break the rules of the forum. It'd be the same as banning someone because they're chatting about how they nicked a pen from WHSmith when they were twelve. If I, or any chat moderator, sees a post that is unsuitable, then it'll be removed.
To be honest, I don't go through all the posts myself so I can't say there haven't been any, but chat moderators should pick up unsuitable stuff and remove it.

Okay then, if cannabis is the only thing that works for this un-named untreatable condition then why oh why has no company developed a legal drug equivalent eh? Nearly all drugs come from plants after all.
And yes you are a waster.

Yeah you are. What makes you so special that you can do 46mph whilst other stick to the law eh? Come on, why can you break the law? More to the point where do you stop eh? Does your idea of how far you can break the law differ from someone elses? Of course it does. Hang on, if the law doesn't apply to you then why should it apply to me eh? You want to drive fast and take illegal drugs, I don't want to bother paying tax anymore please, you can pay mine for me because my insurance goes up when you whack into someone driving over the speed limit.
Why can't they enhance their enjoyment through some other means within the confines of the law?

Ever consider that perhaps these people can enjoy themselves through other means, but choose to enhance their enjoyment with their drug of choice? Sure, it's still against the law, but that doesn't mean you can tag everyone with the same label.

I don't deliberately break the law, it was an example which finds fault in Bell's oh-so watertight logic. And for the record, I think that people who complain about speed cameras are morons also.
> What a disagreeable young man.
No, you're another person who thinks the law is this multiple choice idea, break what suits you and enforce what suits you.
I mean, even SR rules for these forums prove that. If I were to make a topic discussing MP3 and movie downloads then I'd be warned/banned and the topic removed. Here we have people discussing actual experiences of Cannabis, and how to take it, yet the topic is here.
Clear example. Talking about illegal MP3 files and how to use them etc is deemed bad. Talking about illegal drugs and how to use them/what they are like is not.
