On the news tonight, they used the phrase "Cannabis, a drug tens of thousands of people choose to smoke each week". I think they are seriously underestimating how widespread its use is. I wager everyone on here knows somebody who smokes it, I certainly do. Could decriminalizing the drug work in this country? There are huge benefits for the government in the way that it would free up a lot of police time, which could be used for catching those dealing/possessing harder drugs.
Is there any point whatsoever in downgrading the drug as they have done?
Do you have any views on the drug, or the questions I have asked above?

That is a knob.
"I pulled the nob, and white stuff came out."
"I like sugar"
Y'see?
And in answer to Snuggly, yes you are still a waster even if you go to Amsterdam because you've gone all that way, and akin to people who spend their days in Spain recovering from a nights excess drinking, you've gone all that way for sweet FA.

So I can call something/someone a word relating to excrement but not a physical feature? How about nob?
If I was to travel to Amsterdam, and smoke a joint in a hash cafe (which is perfectly legal there), would I still be a waster? After all, it's the same act, only in a location where it's not illegal. How does that fit in with your Drugs = illegal, illegal = criminal, criminal = waster theory Bell?
Mr Snuggly and Special Reserve do not advocate the use of illegal drugs

I don't think you understand what I mean by responsible. I'm not forcing you to smoke it, I'm not going to get in my car stoned and run people over. Apart from paying someone who is harvesting a naturally occuring plant, I am doing nothing wrong. I do it in my own home, or in a friends home, away from children and people who are against the idea. I disagree with the law that cannabis should not be owned, and choose to break it. I know the risks, I will accept the consequences.
This doesn't make me irresponsible. The only bad thing to come of this, is damage to my own health, which I am fully aware of and is a disadvantage I have considered and accepted.
