I was pretty shocked to say the least. I uxpected something similar to the previous incarnations, or perhaps no change from the dualshock 2.
After the initial shock has worn off, they dont look too bad to me. As long as they are comfy and light weight and have the usual durability (which im sure they will), then this new shape is welcom in my camp.

i think the PS2 controllers were way better lookin and feeling to the gamecube and XBOX so i trust sony with the new design

I have to say the new contoller looks comfy from pictures but also looks like an alien spacecraft.
Secondly what were sony thinking when they decided SEVEN controllers to a wireless port.

But the one in discussion here may well turn out to be.
The PS3 controllers seen in all of the photos are merely prototypes, they are NOT the final design.
The PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Revolution will all be online and thats fantastic, but i wouldn't pay for it... Think about it...Buy a console...buy a game...pay a monthly fee? No way, im not spending that much to play a game. I hope it's free. Nintendo have said it is, but you never know.

The PS3 controller is wireless, although it only has a 24hour battery life compared to the 360's 40. But the PS3 controller really is ugly, very big and looks like it could be pretty uncomfortable to hold for a long period of time.
But I have to be honest, the 360 controller is pretty minging too, although it does look a lot more comfortable, and they haven't strayed too far away from the X-Box controller, which I always thought was great.

Eh? Admittedly the current one looks pretty bad, but the new one looks far worse.

PS3 Controller is not wireless.
XBOX 360 includes a wireless controller everything is greater with microsoft, the games,controllers,accesories e.g.camera.
PS3 is weaker on the accesories,controllers and the laser specially which gets easilly burn't or broken.
