All im saying is that yeah the playstation 2 has a DVD in it, yeah it has the best Graphics any console has ever been able to produce but other console makers like Nintendo and Dreamcast will target this oppurtunity. They will bring out new consoles with better Graphics and better gameplay for a lot less than £300 making the Playstation a lot less popular for example the gamecube. If you think about kids these day dont have £300 lying around anywhere and there mum and dad arent just gonna give them £300 quid so my advice is either buy the gamecube or wait till the price goes down.

And the reason why you won't see SEGA too much on the PS2 is because their decision to go strictly as a software developer is meant to MAKE money, not invest in something that's difficult to work with. If SEGA is going to decide the victor in all this, then Nintendo's going to triumph. Because, frankly, I think SEGA and Nintendo are getting along really well right now. During an interview with one of SEGA's top suits, when asked about whether SEGA would be developing for ALL next-gen consoles, the guy looked at the interviewer and asked, "Well, what do you know about the Gamecube?"

The interviewer never mentioned the thing; the SEGA brass-man did. That's one helluva bad sign for Sony and Microsoft; if they don't realize that, they're crazy.

No point, i played ISS before on the PS2 and the N64 version is better in the gameplay department but the graphics are pretty rough.

Look, what it comes down to is that the vast majority of PS2 developers aren't happy with it, or the manner in which Sony's releasing it in tiny increments. Sony took a very cavalier attitude regarding developers from the beginning; it designed a system with a very unique internal architecture and OS, and no one knew how the hell to work with it. If it gets its butt stomped in the Wars, it's the fault of Sony and no one else.

Expect little support from Sega for the PS2 Dan, I've said many times, they are going to be supporting Gamecube a hell of a lot more...

And back on PS2's third party crisis, what about Namco? Probably the most famous one of the last month, Namco have lost millions... and blame only PS2, which is why they will now be completly backing Gamecube instead.

I am being completly honest here, if I owned a PS2, I would be trying to sell it...

its the fact that N64 games are still doing better then PS2 games in sales!!

Sorry - this is absolute ******** because the PS2 is selling very well in Japan, and just take a look at the charts at good ol ign.com. Although you maybe right about not many games being sold compared to console numbers.

The only people that can save Sony are Sega. The XBox will not flop, it will sink because it's so big and heavy, so GameCube will do very well.

SUCK ON WHAT? and Ant no one in the world has played the full version of MGS2! You are going on someone elses opionion and probably worse you are getting it from a Sony Magazine!.

OI savant I never said MGS2will be a B game I said that it would be up against all the release games for the GC!

I dont want MGS2 to fail, I wannsa play it!

And finally Ant, companies are losing toooo much money producing games for the PS2 that is why most of them have now concentrated on development on teh GC and Xbox. Eidos lost millions this year first quarter and 82% of loss of profits was through investing money into PS2 projects. Many others are alsolosing money developing for the PS2 because there are just too many games. You and I cannot argue with the facts. I dont want it to fail I like SSX, I dont mind the PS2, I just know that something is going to happen in Japan that will change everything and its not the GBA's launch, its the fact that N64 games are still doing better then PS2 games in sales!! Why? because most people who have a PS2 out there dont own a PS2 game?why? firstly because they have all there PS games which they can buy for about a tenner and secondly because they can watch movies on it.
Infact only 1 in every 4 people in Japan who own a PS2 have brought an offcial PS2 game!

And although the PS2 is doing well over here(it is) Japan always tends to set a trend!

I can only type the facts. you just argue them.

SUCK ON THAT!!"

I think this is getting silly - if the PS2 had lots of good games I would have chosen my gameaday prize by now. However, the new games that are to be released are bound to be better than the drivel we've got at the moment! Anyway, I think we should CALM DOWN LADS>....

What's your best time on SSX level one>? I can't even get onto stage two in the world circuit mode!?
