I know broadband makes things download faster but what else? Basically does it just mean the information comes to your computer faster than with a dial up modem, like what I am using now?
Does broadband come in different speeds? Like you can get 28 k b s modems and 56 k b s modems and I think you can get 128 k b s modems too, so does broadband vary in its speeds also?
Explain it to me please because I am considering getting it but would like to know more before I do!

Whoah! Unsubscribe! UNSUBSCRIBE! You're being ripped off. I get 128k from ntl for £17 and it used to be £15.

Yar you do, you need a filter on every phone in the house.
But if you are considering getting broadband then you will need to make sure that you are available for it.
Some people are not in the right area to recieve it.
For example if you live out in the middle on no were then the chanches of you being able to recieve it are very slim.
Broadband costs around £23.00 per month. (approx depending on what ISP you decide to go with)

But you need a filter for your phone, plug the phone line into the filter then then filter into the wall.
SImple really.
128k which is the cheapest, but i only think ntl do this.
500k Which is faster and about ten pounds more expensive.
1meg ditto
2meg ditto
Broadband doesn't use your phoneline either so you can use the phone and internet at the same time... That's just about it.
Broadband normally is 576KBPs
You can get 2MB one too, oo that would be so nice.
