I'm female.

We dont understand technology or cars, its a fact. We can cook, multi task and generally communicate better than men, but we rely on you for the aforementioned examples above.

I know broadband makes things download faster but what else? Basically does it just mean the information comes to your computer faster than with a dial up modem, like what I am using now?

Does broadband come in different speeds? Like you can get 28 k b s modems and 56 k b s modems and I think you can get 128 k b s modems too, so does broadband vary in its speeds also?

Explain it to me please because I am considering getting it but would like to know more before I do!

umm i think its 500 odd or somthing like that, downloads at an average of 60KB per second so i like it, parents dont mind they use phone. its good.

Yar but you get them free with pipex anyways, so it's not a problem :D

I have heard that, that is not a bad deal, but you would need to work it out.

128k is broadband.

I'd reccomend. It's what we've got and my dad/mum seems happy enough.
