I'm female.

We dont understand technology or cars, its a fact. We can cook, multi task and generally communicate better than men, but we rely on you for the aforementioned examples above.

I know broadband makes things download faster but what else? Basically does it just mean the information comes to your computer faster than with a dial up modem, like what I am using now?

Does broadband come in different speeds? Like you can get 28 k b s modems and 56 k b s modems and I think you can get 128 k b s modems too, so does broadband vary in its speeds also?

Explain it to me please because I am considering getting it but would like to know more before I do!

With pipex you get a free modem, free installation and free filters too and only £17.50 to buy then £23.00 a month about.

Can you get a 128KB modem and use the same ISP and subscription ?

Or is 128KB actually broadband?



I might be getting the whole NTL deal thing where you get sky tv, phone and broadband so that will work out cheaper for everything.

Wow i didn't think it would work too well without them, i think that you really are supposed to have them.
But if it is working fine without them, then don't bother buying any.

Yes... I use NTL. You get free instalation (i think) and a free BB modem (that i'm sure of) and i think it has the cheapest BB aswell.
