I know broadband makes things download faster but what else? Basically does it just mean the information comes to your computer faster than with a dial up modem, like what I am using now?
Does broadband come in different speeds? Like you can get 28 k b s modems and 56 k b s modems and I think you can get 128 k b s modems too, so does broadband vary in its speeds also?
Explain it to me please because I am considering getting it but would like to know more before I do!

why just cause you don't know?
i have 150k from NTL i have had problemswith them trying to get away from installing my connection, they say "we cannot posibly get up there, get some scafold towers then we will do it" i ring them again and they send someone round next day and now it's perfect!
P.S if you have a rubbish computer and it is clogged up with info then internet will run slower than usaully, much slower!
