If it was up to you, would you have a strong-ish relationship ('going out') or would you have a very strong friendship with a member of the opposite sex?

I'm more of a friendship guy myself, seeing as I don't have the balls to ask someone out in the first place.

What aboot you?

Ps I don't showcase anything and I could see exactly what you said re: prostitutes. I'm also not reacting to a single word, but you did say "buying affection with kind words and gifts" or something to that effect.

I don't see how. I just see that women have it quite good in that, for the most part, they have the whole relationship thing flowing generally their way.

Or you live a sheltered life/lack experience in this matter/are stupid.

Take your pick from the above. I have no time for the righteous indignation of flappy females desperate to cling on to their dignity and insisting that all people are like themselves and their close-knit circle of deviant friends.

Silence of The Lambs:
Buffalo Bill to Catherine Martin down the well.

Your attitudes towards women and sex, to me, come off like the ravings of a disgusted serial killer.
But that's just my opinion, you could be the sweetest man on the planet.

I can't see that somehow-NONE of my friends are like that, thay don't expect anything, so either you're living in some false illusion that you have to buy goods or you don't pick your girlfriends very well........

Yes, yes. You showcase your intelligence here by reacting to a single word. I bet you show off your IQ at the pub as well, eh?

as for kind words, sure, kind words are said when you care, but they're often also said a) just as much if you don't and b) more than when genuinely meant anyway.

I'm not saying that all women are literally prostitutes, or can't you see that? I'm simply saying that those women that expect material goods in exchange for their affections aren't much better than prostitutes.
