Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be deaf? How disorientating it could be, and how much you would miss out on everday sounds of the world? Do you think you would rememeber what your family and friends sounded like when you could hear them? How do you think you would cope?

if u were blind and deaf then sumone was next to you with a gun next to your head, you wouldn't know until you'd been shot!

It would be horrible, i would hate it, you would miss out on all the things like, radio, cd's, tv ect.

I think the only worse thing that can top that, is being blind.

In SRS, we have a deaf member. He´s alright though, we use SOP´s to communicate.

SRS is a socom clan by the way.

Makes you wonder doesnt it... so many things we take for granted..

It's horrible. After an injury I was temporarily deafened. Was around a week or 10 days before I could hear again.

It was disorientating, but I got used to that. What I missed was things like being able to watch the telly and know what was being said, and listening to music.

Thankfully all is well once again.

It'd be horrible, as would any life changing injury.

Of course, if you were deaf from birth it would be far less harrowing, as it'd be completely natural to you.
