Now it happened again yesterday and it was the very same people again (all dressed in their designer gear etc and all their rings and chains, now i don't mind if they were poor people who actually attempted to get a job once in a while but you could see these guys have no intention ever of getting a job, and thats the problem with this country.
never mind, only 2 more years until labour loses power and then this will not be a problem any more.
Another thing, dont you think that we should sort out our problems before we let masses of asylum seekers in?
As i said before there is old people in this country who get pensions which does not cover the heating bills etc. We are talking about people who have most probebrly worked all their lives but now can't afford to keep themselves warm, all this is happening whilst the government is building hundreds of homes for asylum seekers only.

I hate these people too. Judgemental? Who cares. I think the meaning judgemental doesn't even.... have a meaning anymore seeing as everyone is judging nowadays.
I had a pretty interesting conversation today about immigrants. T'was annoying. About 2 minutes away, a medical place is being built for these immigrants and they're getting £400 something a week! It sucks! There's still people on the NHS living on £40 per week and then there's these aliens who get more for doing nothing but vandalising and wrecking towns.
Ack, what an annoying thought.
*thinks happy torts*

No, we watch Bull fights in Spain instead, which is worse in some ways, and Koreans sometimes still eat dogs. If you want a slanging match over which nation eats what this could be a long post, though educational. We eat pig intestines, guts etc, otherwise known as sausages....
If I'm wrong, why did the closure of Sangatte drop the number of recorded false asylum claims.
If people are genuinelly in danger where they live, and can get to the UK, then I say we let them in, and we give them as much help as we can, 'cause thats one of the points of being a rich country. My problem is with those who are not genuine and simply seek to exploit us, though in hindsight I should have made this clearer when I posted.
What we do have a problem with is education, the government is doing jack all to educate the public in general about the plight of genuine asylum seekers, instead we're letting trash like the Sun do that...which is wrong, and dangerous.
KR's holiday camp thing is a mute point, I've seen more offensive english people on holiday than I'ver ever seen foreigners. In Tenerife, the problems I saw at night were caused by...english people. Nottingham devolves into a war zone come closing time, thanks to english people. In fact, as a nation, no one quite beats us for downright rudeness, being inconsiderate, and offensive. I could never wear and Englad shirt, and I will never look on our flag with any pride, and I wouild never wave our flag, ever. By comparison, the few people I know who have come from elsewhere to live here are the excellent people. Someone I used to work with, her husband and her came from India in the early 70's, and now he's built up a chain of shops across the Midlands, by my experience it's english people who seem happy to sit on the dole.

Ever hear of smuggling? And as we are an island, there are a wide selection of ports to choose from.
Plus, you're not addressing Bun's point about refugee's going to other countries as well; if the same thing is happening there, then it sorta removes the Sun's favourite lie of "rapacious immigrants coming here because it's a soft touch". Therefore, I don't believe in your use of most cases because you're only referring to most cases that you yourself have heard of.
But hey; your opinion.

Okay...and why is this so bad? Do you understand the economic implications of the vast amounts of cheap labour and semi-professional/professional people we get by means of immigrants? Frankly, if we are going to have people coming to our country (and no matter whether you like it or not, we are), wouldn't you rather they were able to fit in with English culture? Or would you prefer some sort of unofficial apartheid?

Really? As opposed to the Brits abroad in Greece and Spain who are always fine and upstanding citizens? Come ON KR; if you're going to try and demonise a whole group of people, at least make sure it's something that can't equally be applied to your own culture. If what you say is true, then yes it sucks. But I'd be intrigued to find out whether any of these accusations have any weight to them. Ever hear of Innocent until Proven Guilty?

So what IS the point then? Why don't you spell it out, because at the moment all you're successfully doing is looking like an ignorant splash of manfat growing dry and crusted in the midday sun. Saying "I think this, and if you don't agree then it isn't the point" isn't much of a debate really, is it?

Heh. Yeah, cos of course we all act completely reasonably at all times...
