"I Hate These People."

I was sitting in a bank in my local town (leicester) and a few weeks ago suddenly about 20 *foreign* people walked in with bits of paper and cheques. Half of them couldn't speak a word of english but they got a new window open for them so they could get free money and then go off again.

Now it happened again yesterday and it was the very same people again (all dressed in their designer gear etc and all their rings and chains, now i don't mind if they were poor people who actually attempted to get a job once in a while but you could see these guys have no intention ever of getting a job, and thats the problem with this country.

never mind, only 2 more years until labour loses power and then this will not be a problem any more.

like i already said, i didn't investigate - i don't know all the facts. go ahead and tell me to 'stop saying things if you can't see the big picture' and so on, because you don't need to - i've just said it myself.

That's how seriously this issue is when not reported in screaming tabloids.

Erm, Urie, I saw the BBC 'report' about that bloke renting the flat out, you should know that the BBC later admitted they didn't know if he was an asylum seeker, and anyone who saw the news report special of it should have seen how obviously it was all framed to give the impression desired by the producers of it - ie evil immigrant staling our housing and making quick cash...

you don't understand. What i meant to point out is that i have little love for the handful ASYLUM SEEKERS, and because i don't know all the facts, it's the news' biased opinion makes me think that. Not only that but this is fortified by the fact that there was an asylum seeker bloke who was making money by renting out the apartment the government let him 'borrow'.

if that doesn't clear up the 'confusion' then i really have been wasting my time.

WTF? No government is goign to deny legal asylum seekers the right to be here, unless someone gets the BNP in - impossible.

If by some twisted way the BNP ever did become the UK's ruling party with a Prime Minister then....well the reality of that is impossible to put into description. Suffice to say it'd be an 'interesting' 4 years of power, presuming they actually allowed anyone to vote again.

Yup; I cannot believe that people actually swallow that s**t in the media without bothering to think for themselves. Depressing really...

Is anybody else quite disturbed by the amount of people in this thread that have been warped by the media?

It all comes back to a thread I made ages ago about history not being taught properly in school. If kids were taught from an early age about discrimination in society through the ages, the effects and what we've learnt from it, then maybe they'd understand that there are legitimate asylum claims and wouldn't grow up twisted and bitter.

Don't mistake it for apathy, I'm aware that a problem exists, it just doesn't affect my life at all, so I've no reason to hate anyone for anything. It's just plain ignorance, especially with bloody 13-14 yr old kids being taught at an early age that anyone with a small amount of colour on their skin probably eats our donkeys and steals our hospital beds.
