Well,

I looked on the sites and no one seems to have posted a thread yet!

How did you do? Feel like killing yourself twice over? Or are you swimming in victory?

I am mixed.

My AS results were a little various you see. At sixth form I was stuffed and I couldnt take the subjects I really wanted to do - I did do eng lit/lang and Drama YAY :P but spanish and psychology I was kinda pushed into doing as ones I really wanted to do clashed with the others

Eng lil/lang -- B!!!

Theatre Studies -- B!! (TWO POINTS OFF AN A!!)

General Studies x 2 -- C and another C that was another TWO POINTS OFF A B!!

and here comes the bad bit

I was six marks off an E for spanish so i got U and I got a E in psycho :(

Doesnt matter I can catch up and do better but I was disheartened as I tried so very hard at spanish and everyone in my class flopped

How did you do? How you feel?
Congrats to those A level students getting the grades to go uni!

Not always the case. A language at A level is very very hard. The jump from GCSE is amazing and sucks also. Most teachers hate the exam system for languages - for instance my last 40 mark question was about lighthouses?!

You do have a superiority complex and you was offensive for no reason.

Yes, I probably do have a superiority complex.

But it seems to me that the effort you put in is displayed in what grade you get.

And besides all this - what I actually said, was, in fact, not meant to be serious. Woah, who'd have thought it.

Looks like you've made up your mind then. I would go with your interests -I got an A in business but didn't apply for any business course because I just found it quite mediocre throughout the year, with flashes of stereotypical tie and suit attire. Do what you find interesting.

Leicester are offering me Business Management though!

I really don't want to do computing. I hate having to sit down looking through code spotting errors and the only reason I did so well was that none of the really evil questions came up on the test!

Plus the A in Computing is the only reason they offered me this course!

I'm probably gonna go and do the Leicester course seeing as it has no computing and 3 of my good mates are going there too.

Yes, do it. Management means big bucks possibly, or a shortcut rhought the IT sector.

I've been offered a new course at Loughborough because I didn't get the grades for the other course.

I didn't get BBB so they've offered me Computer Science and Management which is/was ABB!

Don't know now whether to accept that Loughbourough course

What are you taking? ANd have you got a reply for accomodation yet?
I had loads of stuff from the Uni come in today, but nothing on accomodation. I guess I'll live on the streets - it's cheaper.

A guy at my school hung himself from depression so I find it kinda offensive when people make stupid jokes about it.

hmmm, people will probably wanna hit me, but i'm disappointed with my results.. i got:

Biology: A
Maths: A
Chemistry:B

mhmm, and guess what i needed to get into my course? AAB, with an A in Chemistry... thank you now. That is all.... lol, ack i'm not too unhappy, i'll give the uni i call and see what i can negotiate, wish me luck people. by the way, there's no doubting there are much easier subjects than others, but don't criticise people over it. i did the hard subjects and call me a boaster if you like but i probably would've gotten 3 As only for it, so fair play to those who got better than me. besides, at the end of the day, you need certain subjects to do certain courses, like i did (medicine), so getting 3 As in so called "cushier" subjects still doesn't guarantee you better opporunities..... individuals you'll find all have their own circumstances and what would disgust someone would delight another.. that's just the ways things are
