I don't know, I find Roy Strang a rather interesting character, but maybe that's because we get right inside his head in his comatose state.

As if they could sign Ewan McGregor up to another Renton movie. He'd charge too much, and he's too busy being Obi-Wan.

Danny Boyle is apparently interested in making a film though. They could always recast Renton. But if Begbie doesn't play Begbie I'll be angree.

Robert Carlyle is one of the few actors I seemingly can only call by a character name. I always call him Begbie. I call Eric Bana Chopper, and Gabriel Bryne will always be Keaton.
