I've made a RAW thread which is basically for discussing what happens on RAW. Every week just talk about what happened on RAW, I never actually see that much talk about each show so I've decided to make this thread. Whatever you do PLEASE don't put any spoilers in or if you really have to do it after Friday Night.

I think this seems like a good idea but if you guys don't like it just let it die, however, if this works out I'll make a smackdown thread soon enough.

Y'know what? I could write my own segment here, but I'm not going to seeing as Ant appears to have written it for me. So I'll just add an "Amen" to this post and go eat a grape or something. Then I might go back to bed.

Amen.

HHH will lose, trust me. Should be a good match anyway.

And i presume Stephanie didn't have a little helping hand in getting Vince to make that decision? Please. End of the day, we (well you lot, i'll thankfully be out dunking on people :-D) have to sit through a HHH ego trip for at least 60 minutes. Poor people. :-D

Looks like you're wrong:

"Vince McMahon was apparently said to be very disappointed that Smackdown scored a higher rating than Raw recently. He's not trying to sabotage the show, but because he's in negotiations with Viacom regarding a new contract for the Monday night show, he would prefer to have Raw be his highest rated show right now.

McMahon’s concern is that Viacom officials will use Smackdown's higher rating to question whether they are being stuck with an inferior product due to the recently ratings score the show got over Raw.

"That's why some of the lineups for the Raw shows have been pay-per-view caliber," explained one source."

Got that off nodq.com Looks like it's not HHH's doing this time. He's not going to win anyway so sshhhh.

Grrrr...I thought the main event was pretty good, especially the near falls. Just the wrong winner I'm afraid.

I hate Edge.

Yes indeed, the RAW Diva segments sucked. I taped it and wound through. :P

Regal beating on HHH was cool for some reason...

I hate Edge.

And I'm sorry but Batista looks AWESOME. Of all the big guys in the WWE at the moment (and their are a lot of them), he is by far the most impressive.

I love iron man matches...this one should be another classic, although I doubt it will match up to HHH vs The Rock.

Oh, and I hate Edge.

Well just when i think HHH and his ego can no longer surprise me he goes and shocks me like Howard Stern. A 60 minute iron man match on RAW next week? Wow he really does like to be on tv doesn't he? And what with interviews and backstage segments it'll probably total about 70 minutes. Thank god i've got a basketball game next week so i don't have to sit through that tripe. Do the WWE no longer have enough wrestlers to put on a 2 hour show? Meh, i wish Goldberg would come back and kick HHH upside the head like he did to Bret Hart

Anyway RAW was boring this week, more of the Diva search final, if i want to see half dressed slutty women i'll flick over to Men and Motors thank you. Most of them are ugly anyway and i want to run over that red headed one with a car, then back up and do it again. Although they do have the poor backstage segments down to a tee already

Jericho getting beaten up by Batista again, yawn. Looks like one of the most talented wrestlers in the WWE at the moment is stuck in another feud with a big botching monster. Poor lad, get yourself over to Smackdown quick.

La Resistance, definitly Canadian now eh? Strange could have sworn they were from France a few months ago. More continutity errors then Eastenders. Sing the damn anthem in English as well, i don't know the french words nor do i have a desire to learn them. Over-rated as much as Orton if that's possible.

Speaking of which, Edge v Orton YAWN!!!! the only good thing was Edge punking out Orton before the match and boy did he punk him out. Edge's first decent interview in like.........well ever really.

Oh how i wish TNA would get their act together and become a strong rival so Vince has to get his ass in gear and put on an actual decent show

Benoit isn't that much different from Triple H in terms of size and I think Benoit with the title is great. Benoit is one of the best technical wrestlers around, in my opinion.

Well then, what future is for these 'big' wrestlers? I have always believed that the bigger the superstar, the more successful the wrestler. Give it thought - the Heavyweight Championship has always been (until recently) occupied by heavyweights. In every wrestling business, including olympic, this division has been revered as the dominant league and has been considered, by fans and proprietors alike, as the 'Main Event.' So why the change here? Since the Cruiserweight division has been introduced, ye are all speaking as if these Cruiserweights are worthy of Heavyweight Championship status and that this ranking of 6ft+ wrestlers, hardly a large population of the world, should have no position or association whatsoever with Pro Wrestling. Surely this is madness. The only understandable move SmackDown has made this year, in my assessment, is JBL (belatedly) attaining the WWE Championship. Yet, most of ye have problems with this also! I found it somewhat implausible when both Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit became the Heavyweight Champions of Raw and SmackDown. They both fall short of the standard maintained by such previous champions such as Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock...the list goes on and on. OK, with all due respect, Eddie Guerrero is huge from the waist up, but his legs are like weeds. Benoit? Intercontinental standard? Yes. Heavyweight? Not quite. And the fact that he has defeated so many better than he in the past few Pay-Per-Views is nothing short of ridiculous. Yes, he's a great grappler, but if he were to fight Triple H, for example, in the street - he'd be slaughtered. Yes, Professional Wresting isn't exactly real, but surely ye agree that it should conserve a reasonable degree of realism. IT seems from where I stand, that were it the decision of most of ye (The Old English is getting rather confusing now, huh?), Paul London would be the WWE Champion and Triple H wouldn't have a job! That would satisfy you as wrestling fans!? What? And we would just buy the idea? Hell, while you're still in that mindset, why not have Trish Stratus beat Batista to a bloody pulp and have the World Tag-Team Championships held by a chicken and some sort of mule!?

…'Nuff said!

(Yes, I understand Tazz was under 6ft and was one hell of an ECW Champion, but the dude is wider than the average house.)

I think you've just contradicted yourself. 'Big' wrestlers became generic the moment they all started copying Sid Vicious' moveset.
