I've made a RAW thread which is basically for discussing what happens on RAW. Every week just talk about what happened on RAW, I never actually see that much talk about each show so I've decided to make this thread. Whatever you do PLEASE don't put any spoilers in or if you really have to do it after Friday Night.

I think this seems like a good idea but if you guys don't like it just let it die, however, if this works out I'll make a smackdown thread soon enough.

Tazz, if you look at the history of wrestling it was shaped by 'shooters' people like Lou Thesz and Carl Gotch who did as they were told, but could legitametly injure an opponent who tried to injure them just to capture a belt. None of these guys were big monsters, just vicious, technically gifted guys. This is wrestlings heritage, not big guys who master one move (yeah yeah, chockeslam, powerbomb, piledriver, whatever, give me a good submission hold any day), but can't look after themselves....

Puh. That's an understatement and a half (Sorry, but the "Understatement of the year" cliché is passed it, I feel).

I beg to differ. The best wrestlers are the one's who are big enough and heavy enough to slam a little guy down and make the bump echo throughout the arena. They're the no-nonsense guys that come out and wrestle i.e. they execute powerful and effective manoeuvres with the potential to drive the wind out of whichever unfortunate young "hopeful" they happen to be in the ring with. They're the guys who don't go for the blatant and shameless sucking up to the crowd for applause. No flipping, no showy athleticism, no predictable set-up finishes, no vainglorious "I believed in myself and that's how I got here" (Which, for the record is seldom reality. Believe me, I've tried it myself), just down-to-business merciless wrestling. Kane? Hardly contends for this category in my opinion. This sect excludes lazy sags. Big Show? A little slow, a little fat, but this era's Andre the Giant - and that's reason enough for me to keep the guy in. Matt Morgan has potential but no personality, and I don't see what you could have against Batista. The dude is clearly made for wrestling. It seems, though, there'll be no Amens for me though on this topic - I still fail to see why the majority is more impressed with light, athletic babyfaces who fail to draw any realistic balance with regards to action inside the ring. Brethren, we are wrestling fans; we should thirst for blood and for pain. We do not pay to see a circus!

I think you're all harsh on Batista...I think recently he's been in some good matches.

I'm still in awe of that first spinebuster he did to Jericho at Vengeance. :D That was awesome.

And I still think that with the right sort of push and the right sort of feud, Kane should get a run as the Champ...

Hmmm let's see and the best wrestlers in the WWE right now are Benoit, Angle, Gurerro and Jericho. Not one over 6'5 or even approaching 300 pounds. If the choice was between the likes of Batista, Matt Morgan, Big Show and Kane over those 4 that's barely even a choice. Going to be the short ass lightweights every time.

Well yea that's the better decision but it isn't going to happen anytime soon

He's right though.

Why not just get rid of SmackDown altogether and throw everyone else back to Raw. SmackDown's lost it's Edge and Raw has always been the real deal. I feel it's time to put SmackDown out of it's misery.

...'nuff said.

The guys been in several Hell in a Cell matches. Give him a break.

P.S. Just for the record, I'd be distraught if Triple H left the WWE.

Well if you mean beatdown as in 4 on 1 then no, not in the near past but if you mean a bloody HHH and all that. HHH has been in Evolution, he's hardly going to get a beatdown with 3 guys to back him up.
