Any advice, please?

next to worthless huh? does that mean YOU don't have an education? because if you did you wouldn't call it worthless. i find that very assumption worthless and would be interested to know your educational background and current job.
the only reason I say he'll regret it is when he has a job eventually, he doesn't want to have his career hindered by missing grades, or be prevented from advancing due to the same.
Excuse me? OK, number one, I ain't no hobo, nor will I ever be. Number two, if I get my way, one day I'll be a famous writer/director and will have more zeros in my bank account than there are radgies in Newcastle. And I don't mean as in one big zero.
Number three, if all that fails I can keep my job with the Inland Revenue which I'll be getting next year. They're always hiring, and since I've been there before (and got perfect reports each time) I'm sure they'd have me back. You can make a great career out of that. If all THAT fails, I'll be joining the police. Simple. Nothing is hopeless in life, even with no grades, you can join the army or something. You're more likely to get a job which doesn't need fancy degrees than finding one which suits your course perfectly.
Number four, you're 12 years old. I didn't think it was possible to underachieve at that age...

Somehow I don't think he will.
Like a typical 12-year-old, you know naff all.
And you can't really be seriously under-achieving at 12. If you're under-achieving at 15 or 16 then maybe you should be concerned, but not at 12.
My dad beat me until my mother left him when i was 13, thats why i hate my dad although the past 2 years he is really trying to make up for it and i really respect that. One day Kyz22, your parents will probaly look back and realise how wrong they were and will hopefully try and make up for it.

ditto
Not that that helps you at all...
