So, basically, it's just a ploy to get customers in and buy stuff at inflated prices, despite being labelled as a sale.
When you think about it 'sales' usually are ... stuff that they don't want and you don't want, but the sale price makes you feel that you do want it ;¬)
Went in to Comet for their so called 'liquidation' sale and it was 10% off here and 20% off there. What made it worse were the prices, which seem to have all been increased since last week, making them more expensive than both Amazon and Currys even WITH the discount!

Looks like my wife has decided that my graphic novels have to go. That means finding somewhere or someone who wants to buy them. Have a fair few 1st editions and limited runs as well.
We have dinner together and it was one of those dinners which makes it harder to split them up.
Now that you mention it, I can remember similar events when our's were little.
