Better to have it all tested and approved, the process takes time.
Don't forget, it's not as simple as taking an OS and adding it to any tablet or phone, most have their own menu system overlaid on top of this, so every different manufacturer will need to patch their systems.
Basically ... rubbish ... (don't believe the hype) ;¬)

It's running Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with 4.2 rolling out today over the UK...
Wish I was ... got SII and it's still on 4.0.4! Can't understand the delay. Friend has S3 and it updated to 4.1.4 Jelly Bean last week but no update there either.
I bought myself a Google Nexus 7 (32GB) earlier this week - very happy with it :¬)
I've just started adding some Bookmarks etc.
Ideal for checking messages, browsing while relaxing on the couch!

Re. N7 USB support: There's an app for that!
I went for the 32GB version at under £200 - still impressed.

In 4pple talk Jelly Bean 4.2 is a Game Changer! ;¬)
[s]Hmmm...[/s]EDIT: Didn't have the same 'tussle' with iTunes that I had with my daughter's iPhone5 either!
Recommending tablets is not a good idea unless you know a bit more about the person who wants one but, in general, it's a great little starters tablet and the media playback is great. It's not going to be as easy to use out of the box for a younger audience, but if set up by an adult with an SD card with media on and moving things around to make a decent home screen then it would be fine.
I'll type more thoughts out soon, but have to rush off now.
I saw some reviews mention the battery life getting just over 5 hours. That's almost half the iPad Mini. Have you noticed this yet pb?
Would like to get an Android tablet, but might wait for the next one. Still waiting for the Kindle Paperwhite.
Anyone around today?
Been playing around with the Tab 2 to get the optimum settings and install a load of my Google Play games on to it. Got it up to 40GB for storage with a 32GB Micro SD that I had been using as a USB stick until now.
Frees up the iPad for my wife to use at home while I use this at work. The iPad remains the top priority for tablet gaming, but it's useful to have an Android tablet to review games on now as well and the excellent screen quality and Micro SD suppport will make this a great media device for me.
