Does seem a bit late for Winter on 21st December, but I guess it's still Autumn then.
Is it officially Winter yet? I need to look that up, never sure when it actually starts.
As a rough rule of thumb, the seasons follow the 'quarter days'. So, March 21st Spring starts, June 21st Summer - the longest day, Autumn begins September 21st and Winter begins December 21st - also the shortest day.
These dark mornings don't make it easy to get up and get off to work.

I know it's hard but packaging labels these days are quite clearly marked, especially the words MINCE and JOINT, I would have thought ;¬)[/i]
Oh it wasn't an accident. I was up on the deal. I got to eat some lovely silverside joint for a day or two and I never got sent to the shops again.

We're having Roast Beef tonight as well. Never cooked it but I'm sure I'd cremate it or something. You got topside or silverside?
Hope you enjoy it as much as 'my crew' did :¬)
No idea what it was, but the wrapper says 'M&S British Beef Roasting Joint' and it seems to have been quite expensive for the size of it ... there's only two people eating it! But never mind, they enjoyed it and I cooked it ... bonus ;¬)
