Hope it all gets sorted, DL. Just sounds like a lot of paperwork and fiddling about.
In a 'nut shell' ... that is just what life is all about :¬)
Thankfully, today is my granddaughter day and she was lovely ... she's a dream :¬)
However, not so happy with my dad's hospital and its release of the Death Certificate!
I have to register the death within 5 days, without a Death Certificate I can't book an appointment to register his death and subsequently deal with his 'affairs'!
He died Sunday, I was told to contact the hospital this morning ... the certificate isn't completed yet as the doctor required has been working nights and probably won't do it until Wednesday morning!
This means I have to drive for an hour to collect it, if it's ready, and then contact the local Registrar for an appointment, which may not even be this week now, before I can even confirm arrangements with the Funeral Directors!!! This does mean that closure could be a very long way away.
Life just isn't simple.
Sounding like a very small Batman in that I have a sore throat and can barely speak louder than a whisper. That should make meetings fun this afternoon.
Currently trying to work from home with my eldest sat next to me playing FIFA 14.
Must. Not. Play...
My thoughts are with you and your family at this tough time.
Man that is brilliant and many thanks altaranga :¬) Last time I did this it was for my mum, but times change.
Have finally run out of organisations and people to ring. Now awaiting a call from the hospital to collect the Death Certificate to allow me to register the death, before I can instruct the Funeral Directors! Nightmare.
So much easier getting born ;¬)
Having seen my father this morning and knowing what is going to happen ... it is never easy when you get the call. My father died at 16.22.
