... as yet, watch this space
So Tesco were supposed to deliver my shopping yesterday evening. Half an hour after the allocated time I rang up their service to find out where it was. They rang the store and found out the driver had been called back because they were slow and missed the last 2 deliveries (including ours). No thought of contacting me at all.
So, anyway, I say that I'll have to pick the shopping up myself the next day (today). So today comes, I go out after lunch, as always, to take the girls to classes and just get to the supermarket when I get a phone call. It's a Tesco driver asking if I'm around to pick up the shopping that he's got at my house...
He thought (quite logically) Tesco would have phoned me and arranged this re-delivery, but no, no answerphone message, no missed calls, no texts, nothing, being a nice friendly driver he did agree to meet us a bit later to allow me the 30 minute drive back home, so we got our shopping in the end. It's been one of those days, though...
Not looking great out there but at least it's dry for the moment.
Do you think we'll get snow this year? There were some reports of the gulf stream pushing snow our way from the US, but its actually brought warmer weather so far as It's travelled over Southern Europe so far.
I think the last time we had snow settle here was 3 years ago.
Colder and colder. Let's just add some mist to that equation, shall we? I'm not going out unless I have to today.
You want mist and fog ... we've had it for the last two days!
Anyone taken a look at the Steam Sale so far?
You are all behind the times.
No word of a lie; driving home from Freeola Towers on Saturday I saw a house with their Christmas decorations up already, including large window display.
Still 5 or so weeks to go...
There's a couple of houses around here with decorations up and running. Mind you, there's a lot more shops and supermarkets that seem to have started earlier than usual as well.
@pb With you on that one ... I'll look for mine next week.
