Guess you can read what's been going on with me and mine ;¬)
Morning all!
Yes I've just been catching up - I hope he recovers quickly and Christmas isn't too disrupted for you all.
Just noticed that pb moderates a lot of forums and hmmm does the one he loves. Isn't there anyone out there that might consider giving pb a helping hand?
Not that there is much we can do in the way of moderating. We can't delete threads or anything, just edit posts.
My son was operated on this morning and is now finally home!
Seem strange to any of you? It's Monday! Hospital is open!!
All weekend being promised surgery, first Saturday, then Sunday .... poor lad was beside himself with pain and 'pissedoffness'! Can you blame him ... especially as he didn't have a 'spectacular open fracture' which was initially diagnosed, he had a 'spectacular open crushed fracture' on investigation by the plastic surgeon today!
Still he was seen and kicked out in one day ... that day being a 'working day'!
Have any of you changed your minds about what you thought hospitals were supposed to be for and when they're 'open for business'?
Haha ... just try dying or get an injury on Friday afternoon ... go on, you know you want to do it ;¬)

Evening.
Hope your son is able to get out by Christmas, DL,and they're able to do something for him.
Thanks pb ... it's the 'weekend' thing with hospitals!
If you've not experienced it, then be warned ... hospitals work 9-5 Mon-Fr!!! If you die or get severely injured at the start of a w/end or during a w/end ... then you'll still have to wait to be 'seen' on Monday!
My son has been in severe pain, which is increasing, and his hand and whole arm have become increaingly inflammed and swollen. He has been ignored by the night 'shift' for pain relief ... the worst hospital I have visited out of 4, in the last 6 months!
Hope your son is able to get out by Christmas, DL,and they're able to do something for him.
Op for son has been arranged for tomorrow betwwen 8am and 10am! He has had increasing pain and discomfort since 11.37pm yesterday and the 'night shift' haven't responded!!! Today's 'day shift' have and he is more 'comfortable'!
As you can well imagine, Christmas is around and about, and he doesn't want to miss it.
