Has been a lovely day here too pb :¬) Finished another 'bespoke' fence ... (2.32m x 1.6m for Hmmm's reference).

Life just seems better now ;¬)

Wrong place to ask this I know, but moving to a new PC which will have Windows 8.1 OS ... I'm concerned about the email client.

I love Outlook Express/ Windows Mail format. Is there anything available for 8.1 that's similar?

Can I try to install Windows Mail or should I download Thunderbird?

I do like a standalone client ... I don't like a web-based client!

And yes, I know I have Freeola's Webmail ... but I only use this when I travel :¬)

Evening all ... see it's been a busy day on here ;¬)

House sale etc etc now finished and paid off :¬)

My sister has still not spoken to me since whenever ... however I have had 1 txt message which just said 'fine'! (Think this was late January), 1 email which said 'Thank you' ... 13th March and one txt message which said 'Thank you again' 14th March!

It would appear that 'communications' are improving ... 1 word, then 2 and laterly 3!

Said to Mrs DL ... we may get a full sentance soon ;¬)

Unfortunately, this isn't a happy situation as she seems to be digging herself into a deeper hole. My youngest was 28 on Valentine's Day ... and no card. My eldest is 30 on Saturday ... don't hold your breath!

Whatever it is that has caused this rift, it shouldn't involve the family tbh. However, if nothing is forthcoming for my eldest then I think we are finished and that she has buried herself!

For most of my life I have 'looked' after and been expected to 'look after' my parents ... my sister hasn't.

For the last 4 years I have increasingly been called upon to provide a taxi service to hospitals, doctors and nurses appointments ... both regular and emergency.

In my father's last few weeks, I fought long and hard with Social Services over two counties to get him comfort and support and relief.

Did my sister do any of this? No ... stays in London and has total denial that what she's told is true!

Thanks for reading :¬)

I think it's a knock-on effect.

You seem to be have been 'catching' these problems during the last 6 months, but I remember one was your girlfriends ... hope all is ok

Boomerang Rentals was hit in January 2015 ... is this still a problem?

Hey guys,

Think I'm starting to see some evidence of the Boomerang Rentals hack:

I have been sent a letter from my "bank" saying my card had been suspended (it hadn't) and to call the fraud team (incorrect number) to my disc despatch address (not my account address)

My Paypal (last week) and Facebook (today) accounts have been suspended for unusual activity.

So yeah - annoying...

Morning.

Well, saw my eldest off on her week long trip. Going to be strange in the house without her for a week.

Back is getting better, not hurting all the time now, which is great.

How is everyone else this Monday morning?

Morning.

More trapsing around garden centres today. Won't get to watch the F1 until later, I expect, though I can't watch it until at least 1.15 anyway as BBC haven't got it live and despite having Sky now, I'm not paying £28 or so each month just to watch the F1. Don't know why it can't be a separate subscription to the other sports channels.

Back is a little better today. If it continues I will have to get it checked out, but it's the first time that it's been like that.
