Morning all.

Day off work, but busy anyway. Clearing up in the house this morning and helping out in the school this afternoon,

Are you into fishing then DL? It's not my scene it was my fishing mad mate who got me into this programme.Watched an episode last night where this parasite gnaws into live bodies and and starts eating their innards.Some poor Brazilian bloke was relieving himself in the river when one jumped down his manhood and started munching away.Surgeons managed to save him but the unwelcome intruder had to be pulled out in reverse.As if that wasn't bad enough it had spikes on it's body to anchor itself in for self defence.Really not what you would want doing in or out of there TBH.10 years later they took this poor bloke to a laboratory to see this thing they pulled out of him (they had preserved it in alchohol).Think I'll be crossing the Amazon river off my list of places to go for nice relaxing swim after watching this.

Morning,

we got a new team leader last week and boy does he want to keep a close eye on us. He seems unhealthily focussed on how we record our time, comparing time taken against estimates and number of defects from testing... it's like being back at school.

Started the day clearing some dog waste off my grass. Not the first time it has happened and no doubt not the last, just wish I could spot the incident when it happens.

I agree pete, teachers responsibility especially at SC's stage...I watched some of those River Monsters progs...good stuff...could have been 'that loon' :¬)

That sucks Chris,was it not your teachers responsibility to make you aware of how much prep work you needed to have done?,if so then it sounds like they've let you down big time,hope you get it sorted mate.

Been watching the DVD of River Monsters over the last week.It's worth watching if you're into seeing some loon who travels to the ends of the earth just to spend weeks trying to reel in a specific kind of alleged man eating fish.Never seen it before,missed it when it was shown on TV,it's alright though.
