Spot on :-).
PS2 can push more polygons than the GC, GC can push higher resolution display and textures.
Swings and roundabouts.
Gran Turismo looks mighty fine and nothing comparable directly exists on the GC.
Resi 4 cheats by halving the resolution and frame rate.

Loading times just makes the game load less quickly, doesn't make the game a worse game.
Other than that he said something about the control system not working on the PS2, but the GC pad can be mapped directly onto a PS2 pad so he diddn't exactly say what that meant either.
Nor does saying the special effect don't work as well, because I don't know what special effects he's talking about. MGS2 has better rain effects on the PS2 than Xbox, wouldn't make it a worse game.
