hmm...OK I'll concede defeat on the first-person aspect.

Still prefer MGS though! And MGS4 on PS3 will take stealth games to a new level.

Example of improvement: Weapons customization.

MGS3: You could attach a suppressor to some weapons.
MGS4: Each weapon has over a hundred different possibilities for weapons customization.

Can't wait! Is there a Splinter Cell planned for the next-gens?

Yep.

All you do is press one button and it shifts to first person.

I would think they'd adjust the controls to fit it in. It's not a problem in Splinter Cell after all

Except that didn't happen with Splinter Cell now did it?

Well the control system's pants to begin with.

Actually he's torn through Chaos Theory and so have I. Without a doubt it's the better title.

Because it's realistic, fun and actually makes sense.

If that was possible then all

Which is why games that have a decent first person system usually give you a limited amount of ammo so you have to rely on stealth most of the time but if you do get into a fight you have a decent control sytem with which to take enemies out with.

like in the Twin Snakes, or like in certain occassions in

Same sort of thing in Splinter Cell, except with the added bonus of realism and fun.

Yeah boss battles.... great.

Good point! Being able to walk in FPS view would totally ruin it and turn it into an FPS. Also...how could you walk? You're already holding R1 and SQUARE to point your gun. The left analong aims. You press a third shoulder button to side step....allowing you to walk as well would take such a huge combination of button presses it would never work.

To Titawhirl..I'm assuming your not a stealth game fan then? XD

Splinter Cell on PS2 is awful.

I can't stand MGS either though.

Why does everybody think that it would have been better if you were able to walk in first person in MGS3 ? If that was possible then all you have to do is to keep head-shooting the guards throughout the whole game, like in the Twin Snakes, or like in certain occassions in MGS2. You see, they purposely didn't allow you to move in 1st person, and they purposely removed the radar in order to force the player to use camouflage, face paints and CQC, which is more challenging and well suited for a stealth game, and generally more enjoyable. In addition using camouflage fatigues and using CQC is well suited for a character like Big Boss.
