well first off its huge. No sorry massive. however I have hardly played at it because I haven't had the time to sit down a focus on it as it is very bewildering at first.

I'm trying to find the Hlervu locket in Venim Manor in Ald-ruhn. I've got these special gloves [Bal Malagmar], but I can't find it anywhere.
At the moment I'm a Captain in the Thieves Guild doing the Gentleman Jim Stacey jobs.

Yeah, Morrowind has taken over my gaming life as well :-)

I've acquired "The Ring of Far-Reaching" - very useful for thieving and pick-pocketing :-)

And I've just watched the sun rise over the Grazelands.... beautiful :-)

And being an adept in the School of Mysticism, I'm pleased to have permantely in my possession the "Mark" & "Recall" spells - so now I can teleport hither and thither :-)

Oh and VemonByte, now that you're a vamp, what happens if you go out in daylight? - D'you get frazzled?
And can you bite people and turn them into vampires? It would be good to turn Peligiad into a village of the undead :-)

Morrowind is an awesome game. Truly fantastic. The depth and variety of stuff to do is amazing.
When I first bought it I was unsure, but I've been playing it for a week now and I'm totally engrossed.
Just why OXM didn't rate it as a 'Xbox Elite' is a mystery.
It's so good, my copy of Splinter Cell is still in its wrapping. I have eyes for only Morrowind at the moment.

I have now finally become a vampire.

The stat increases are truly immense, and not many people are attacking me outright, like I thought they would. Unfortunately though, I can't find anyone who will train me, barter with me, or make enchantments or spells for me. Even the other vampires don't want anything to do with me if they can help it.

I can't use silt striders or mages guilds for transport either. I knew this already, but I didn't realise how much of a pain it would be.

I need to get all the Indexes for the propylon chambers...

I'm presuming that is a 'cast when used' enchantment.

What it means, is that if you equip that weapon as you would a spell, and cast it, you will find yourself in possesion of a Daedric Longsword for sixty seconds. After that, it it'll disappear again and you'll need to re-cast it.

The deadric longsword is one of the best longswords in the game, so that's a fairly useful enchantment to have.

Additionally, any equipment which is 'bound' in this way is weightless - unlike a real deadric longsword. You'll also recieve a +10 bonus to your longsword skill when you use it.

I have a question for VemonByte or anyone else who knows:

I have a Demon Katana, and the magical effect is "Bound Longsword for 60 secs on Self" - what exactly does this mean?

I'm just wondering if to sell it or not.

If you buy the PC version, you can get Morrowind AND the Tribunal expansion pack for £30. It will also be fully patched, avoiding a few of the bugs in the XBox version, as well as having the construction set and access to the online community where you can download further expansions.

Keyboard and mouse also feels more natural for it.

I would definitely get the PC version if I were you.

Pity I can't sell the armour worth 190,000 gold - I thought I was on my way to being a Morrowind tycoon :( :)

At the moment I'm about to embark on a treasure hunt.
I was told a story by a Nord in Vivec about the ship burial of a Nordic legend and a magical battle-axe named 'Stormkiss'.
I've tooled myself up with countless walk on water & breath underwater magic.
I don't know if I'll find it, but it'll be fun trying :-)
