well first off its huge. No sorry massive. however I have hardly played at it because I haven't had the time to sit down a focus on it as it is very bewildering at first.

Yeah join, Hlaau, they're a merchant house.

You could join Redoran if you want, just not Telvanni.

What, never?
I only used a cure blight disease potion once. I can still catch diseases.
I wanna be a vamp :(

I haven't joined a main house yet, so it's a good job you told me. At the moment I'm just going from Thief Guild to Thief Guild doing jobs for them.
I chose my major skills myself, but basically I'm a thief/assassin. I'm strong in sneak, security, acrobatics, marksmanship, etc.

So I should join the Huallo (spell?) house then?

I hope I'm not too late in telling you this, it's rather important.

As you probably know, 3 of the 5 great houses of Morrowind are represented on Vvardenfell, Hlaau, Redoran and Telvanni.

Generally speaking -

Fighter - Join Redoran
Mage - Join Telvanni
Anything else - Join Hlaau

The important thing is, you can only join one house, and you *cannot* change after you have chosen one.

And the most important thing, do *not* join Telvanni if you aren't a mage, you won't be able to advance!!

Alas! If you have been cured of a blight disease, you can never become a vampire!

The horror.

I had that slave following me around for ages. I couldn't find where she wanted to go. I eventually left her with a male cat-person somewhere in Vivec.

Morrowind is amazing. I've just been to Punabi, near Marandus, to get some gold from a defected mystic for the Mage's Guild. On the way I caught a disease called Ash-chance. Luckily, I had a cure blight disease potion on me.

Even though I've must have been playing it for about 30 hours, I still feel like I've only just scratched the surface.

Oh, and I know for one thing that Tribunal adds Vvardenfell's Capital City.

Odd that, I would have though the capital city would have been in the normal game..

Today I started a new character, she's a Bretonnian Nightblade.

I also bought the 'Tribunal' expansion for the PC, and downloaded about six extra plugins, so I'm now playing the mother of all Morrowind games :)

(I would talk about all this in the PC forum, but this is a Morrowind thread, so it'll do. I would also have bought Tribunal from SR, if it weren't for the fact that's it was cheaper, and with zero delivery time or poastage costs, in two of the four high street stores I checked out today.)

So, my new Bretonnian Nightblade. Not joined any factions yet. Spent an hour or two trying to become a vampire, but being level one I was eaten alive by rats and big slugs before I could even reach a vampire tomb, so I gave up on that idea for a while...

Spent a couple of hours kitting myself out, so I now have a full (minus greaves) set of Glass Armour, paralysis dagger, and a couple of useful spells.

Next I need to level myself up a bit, and then try to find out what the hell this expansion pack has actually added to the game...
