Do you all remember the Legend of Zelda and Majora's Mask on N64?
Do you all remember the graphics, the temples and characters?
Now that the Gamecube is out theres a new Zelda game
in the making, coming soon. But when I saw the screen shots
in a Nintendo magazine I was totally shocked and disappointed.
They had made it look like a stupid little cartoon, leaving you wondering
what on earth was going through the designers head. He's disappointed
lots of Zelda fans and I can only hope he makes a new improved
Zelda game as a very quick follow up. Although it'd be nice to think that the screen shots are just a sick joke. Imagine playstation turning Lara Croft into a Powerpuff Girl lookalike, they'd be an uproar.

Keep saying best of both worlds all you want, some people prefer the cel shaded graphics, and therefore ARE getting the best of both worlds. I don't care either way. If cel shading is going to allow Shigsy to create a better game do that. If realism will allow him to create a better game do that. You seem to be the only one who thinks that an unrealistic (like a fairy boy who searches for three pieces of a triangle which is the ultimate power is realistec...) graphical style is going to be bad. Everyone else either doesn't care about the graphics or prefers the cel shaded look.

Best of both worlds.
Best of both worlds.
Best of both worlds.

Do you understand now?

Why do we all have to choose?

How can you say the zombies are realistic in Resi-evil though? Seen any to compare the graphics to?

Not rubbish, not half as good as Zelda will be.
And Zelda would suck with Resi style graphics.

No-one. But from what you've said it seems you'd want Mario to look realistic. Anyway, people aren't annoyed at the fact that you prefer the realistic Zelda look. It's the fact that you're saying it would be a better game with realistic graphics when the graphics blatently aren't going to affect the gameplay.
