Do you all remember the Legend of Zelda and Majora's Mask on N64?
Do you all remember the graphics, the temples and characters?
Now that the Gamecube is out theres a new Zelda game
in the making, coming soon. But when I saw the screen shots
in a Nintendo magazine I was totally shocked and disappointed.
They had made it look like a stupid little cartoon, leaving you wondering
what on earth was going through the designers head. He's disappointed
lots of Zelda fans and I can only hope he makes a new improved
Zelda game as a very quick follow up. Although it'd be nice to think that the screen shots are just a sick joke. Imagine playstation turning Lara Croft into a Powerpuff Girl lookalike, they'd be an uproar.

Well Excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess! (surely you know where that's from?)

I think you'll find that realistic graphics means no funny creatures, no hyrule, no link, infact no game because how can you have realism in something that's not?

The graphics are brilliant and the gameplay is sure to be!

Surely you should be happy you're getting something new! There's nothign set in stone that Miyamoto has to carry on with the Zelda series!

Because, silly me, I was looking forward to a new and interesting game, with both great, realistic graphics and great gameplay to play on my new Gamecube. Pardon me if that sounds unreasonable.

Are you actually going to listen this time?

Zelda's graphics are GOOD!
Yes, they look unimpressive in screenshots but does that matter.

WHEN THE GAMES IS ACTUALLY RUNNING they flow really well.
If it had been like that old Spaceworld demo, the plastacine graphics would've looked impressive in screenshots, but while in action they'd be lifeless and sterile with corny character expressions and animation.

Shigsy knows best.

You will NEVER see a game so full of life, and it could NOT be done in the same way if the characters all look like plastacine models.

STOP JUDGING THE GAME BY A COUPLE OF SCREENSHOTS. THEY MEAN NOTHING!

If they did that, it might make the game a bit more fun to play instead of the dull and boring game it is. Why do you think you can buy Tomb Raider 3 for £4.99 on PC and get either Tomb Raider or Tomb Raider 2 for free with it from certain retailers?

If anything, I'm more excited! If Jet Set Radio had 'realistic' - blocky style graphics, then I wouldn't have bothered with it because it wouldn't be as fun as it is now, and skating games don't usually interest me.

I wasn't disappointed. Why? Because I don't care whether a game looks realistic or cartoony. If it's a good game I'll enjoy it.

I've seen the new screenshot graphics on DVD. If this game had been a new game brought out for the first time, I don't doubt that it would be accepted as a good game. But as I mentioned in my original posting, imagine Playstation doing this to Lara Croft, it would be laughable. Are you honestly telling me that you are not disappointed? Not even alittle?

So you'd rather have a game that looks best in the screenshots?

Suit yourself... I'd rather have a game that looks best when it's running!
