I'm going to have lots of money soon and because my PC sucks I think I'll buy my first console... hurrah.
Not a Gamecube because I don't want to play crap like Pikmin and Lugi's Mansion.
So Playstation 2 is cheaper than X-Box but not as good and has pretty good games.
X-Box is one big beast but Microsoft made my PC crap and it costs a lot.
So what should I get... give me good reasons and prices and stuff please?

I was going to save up for Les Paul or SG but I'm too crap to play such a lovely guitar so go now.

I've played the PS2 many times, and have been disspointed with some of the games. Games like GT Concept, and MGS2, GTA3 are wicked.
But for Xbox far better games are coming out, including SEGA GRAN TURISMO 2002, yes xbox's version of the original Sony game, and sure this game will show Sony how its done, the screenshots look fab. So do the cars.
End of the day, its up to you.

You dont have to pay 10$ a month because its a one off payment for a year.

If the PS2 is so poor, what does it matter is a game is - for example - an "MGS2 beater"?
On the one hand people say "MGS2 is crap", then they say Splinter Cell (also coming to PS2, by the way) is "an MGS2 beater". So what? If MGS2 is "crap", a game that beats it only needs to be slightly less crap. Doesn't say much really, does it?

You gotta admit Gamezfreak, a lot of them games are gonna turn out crap. I'd break the list down but I can't be ar$ed.
