I had problems with it from the off the picture quality was crap, and the games were much better. Luigis Mansion was alright but it's for kids the same can be said for Sonic Adventures 2 Battle, Super Smash Bros etc.
I promptly took my GameCube back and I'm not the only one, a friend of mine has had every games console ever produced and he still has them now, but he also bought a GameCube and took it back the same day.
I decided to go out and buy an Xbox and what a surprise that was, it's absolutely fantastic and I know have nearly 50 titles. I can't wait for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (xbox Exclusive).
With nearly 150 titles due out before Christmas and more than 300 in development, Xbox is the future of gaming. Every developer in the UK is currently developing for Xbox, the same can't be said for Nintendo.
Along with that ruby_loo. The less said about that the better.
You, and your prat of a friend, are obviously in the minority.
Why should every developer *cough* bowlocks *cough* develop for the incredibly anti-developer Xbox?
When developers can create games as quickly and efficiently on the GC, I think they'd put the GC at the top of the list.
Anyway, what an idiot. Let's leave him be.
I think i make my point, the GC has the quickest loading times, the picture is as sharp as any other, probably your T.V.
It semms only you and your frined have experience real problems with it! The GC is not failing, the X-box is, look at the stats! The GC is beating the X-box every except USA, and the X-box was out earlier!
Heres what i think, you never even touched the gamecubes box, you bought an Xbox from the outset, and to try and justify your opinion you made up some story about getting an Gamecube and then taking it back.

£35.00 x 6 = £210.00. 210 + 130 = £340.00. £35.00 is the average game rate for GameCube and even if you were sold some ones for £40.00 that still wouldn't redeem the fact that you were ripped off.

Erm.. picture quality is down to TV reception mate. Not the console or games. You probably didn't even plug the SCART lead in properly, or your set is dodgy.
You can't go saying games are for kids with no further evidence to back it up. I know and have read comments (in magazines) from plenty of 18+ year olds saying that they really enjoy Nintendo games and those you mentioned.

Considering Nintendo have sold £4 million GameCubes in the first two months (more than the PS2 and X-Box) I think you ARE the only ones.

Now I'm not going to badmouth the X-Box (personally, I'm itching to get my hands on one) but I'd like to point out that Splinter Cell is NOT and X-Box exclusive and we will be seeing it on PS2 and possibly GameCube.

Nintendo have PROMISED (now there's no 'nearly in this sentence') at least 130 titles by Christmas, and at the rate they're going there'll definitely be more. Nintendo don't NEED every developer in the UK developing for them (and I'm not sure if X-Box DOES have every UK developer working for it), it's about the quality of the games (something Nintendo and Rare have always been famous for), not the amount you can get out in the quickest space of time.

You thought I was serious about black gamecubes being black? Nah, they're definitely purple... I checked... :D
