My point being didn't Nintendo say "they don't need fancy capabilities like dvd" funny that isn't it because without my PS2 I would not have been able to play it.
Cheaper than the PS2 was a launch.

LOL! £400!
You quite clearly don't have a clue about prices!
The Q is the equivilant of £220 in Japan, and if it ever did come out here, at it's launch it would be £250 at the most.
Cheaper than the PS2.
Really, £400 my ...

£250, because that's what the Q, with all those features is.
Cheaper than the PS2 at launch, isn't it?

My gran has a 100Hz Panasonic, so I take my PS2 up there :D
Panasonic have just taken the GameCube, opened it up, upgraded it with a DVD system and sell it as their own.
Sure, Nintendo gave them permission to do so, but I doubt Nintendo make much, if anything on Panasonics Q sales.

You must live in Japan then because that is the only place you can get a Q machine anyway and at £400 or more you can keep it, if they were not concerned that the GC was not a dvd capable machine what was the need for a Q machine then.

LOL!
Sorry, but that is the funniest thing I've read in this topic. Just the way you said it.
