My point being didn't Nintendo say "they don't need fancy capabilities like dvd" funny that isn't it because without my PS2 I would not have been able to play it.
Sony make a console (because they are a hardware company) then start gossip about another one when their second one is only for people who are flashy shallow or play DVDS a lot or like the games. And then don't bother to try to even make games for it.
Nintendo on the other hand, design a games console make parts of it then are helped by other companies ATI to name just one. They don't make it with DVD player because a lot of people wouldn't use it for that and they didn't want to up the price. They then make great games putting a lot of effort in. They then let panasonic make one but all the oarts are made by panasonic but is still designed by nintendo.
See the difference? i rest my case

No. You are talking out of that backside again!
Nintendo got Panasonic to make a DVD player/games console for them because they know Panasonic are top DVD producers that don't let their machine be piratised by pirate copiers everwhere.
Also, Nintendo are already working on GBA games, GC games and new GC peripherals, so they needed a bit of help to make a DVD playing console anyway.

The only reason the Q machine exists at all is because Nintendo couldn't be bothered to make a descent machine in the first place and decided to let someone else do it for them.
