You think you're so smart with your nice new GameCubes. Happy with them are you? I know you are, you've told us enough times. Especially "Oooh, this controller is fantastic, it's much better than all the other controllers I've used".

Bollards.

Why can't you see it's exactly the same as the DualShock 2 but with less features? Let's run through this:

· D-pad - check
· Two analog sticks - check
· Four main buttons - check
· Shoulder buttons - check
· Rumble - nope
· Full analog on ALL buttons - nope
· 4 shoulder buttons - nope
· Analog sticks as sensitive as the DualShock 2 - nope
· Ability to drop for storeys and still work perfectly - nope

Excuse me if I'm wrong but surely if it's the SAME shape with the SAME layout but with less functions, that makes it worse? Oh no, sorry, I'm missing out the facts that it's purple and made by Nintendo, that automatically makes it far superior, I'm terribly sorry.

I dare any of you to prove to me that the GameCube controller is better than the DualShock 2 - and saying that "it's more comfortable" is a cop-out.

Well Turbo, you truly succeeded in stirring a fuss.

135+ posts?

There hasn't been a Prime post this popular in AGES!
And they wonder why we love our console wars... :-)

That shows how badly designed the Dualshock is, other than the D pad I have no problems reaching any of the buttons whilst using both sticks on the Cube pad.

*realises he doesn't want to get involved in this stupid debate*

oh crap i've done it now

Well it is more comfy! Surely the Dualshock 2 is similar to the SNES controller! D-Pad, 4 main action buttons, shoulder buttons, start, select, so why is the Dual Shock better than the SNES controller? If you say it feels more comfortable or it rumbles and has a couple more buttons, it's just a cop-out.

Feck me, do people not read my posts, or do they just ignore what I say to p.ss me off?

There were MANY home consoles BEFORE Nintendo entered the market, and Atari were the first to include analogue sticks on a console.

I can take bias and I can live with arguments, but ignoring the FACTS because you want to think that Nintendo invented the whole thing just makes you a moron.

Since I am far superior in terms of everything, including intelligence and beauty, I concur that I win.

The fact that you think the PS2 controller is best shows just how moronic you are.

Oh, I was only practicing my 'peaceful ending' ploy in practice for my future job as an ambassador for the UN.

I know, funning typo.

Yes it does, ever used one? YES even on the D-pad. I'm going to hunt you down until you ackowledge this.

Oh, so now it's TOO sensitive, yet the GameCube pad's perfect for everyone? This is a mystery even Scooby Doo would have trouble over. And of course you need 4 buttons, because if you're using both analog sticks then you can't get at any buttons can you!

Nope, but I have dropped it 4 storeys of a parking lot. Long story.

Textbook answer.

Hey, nice one.

Can't we all just get along.

There are many different pebbles on the beach, but they're all washed up by the same sea.

In other words, embrace gaming as a whole, and don't just criticise Nintendo because it 'copied' Sony. And Sony didn't copy Nintendo's lead by adding analogue sticks and rumble features. Right?

That was sarcastic.

What the hell was that? It just didn't make sense. The GC pad has a rumble function. The PS2 pad doesn't have full analog on all buttons, plus there's no reason to have 4 shoulder buttons and it's sticks are stupidly placed and just too sensitive. And have you actually tried dropping the pads 'stories'?

Plus, the fact the pad is made by Nintendo does make it great, because Nintendo do things great.

And if you'd even bother to read MY post, you'd realise that that was a list of games that use analog buttons...

You're the one that's turned this into a game argument, because you know you can't win on the original topic.
